THE ROLE OF ISLAMIC EDUCATION TEACHERS IN FORMING STUDENT RESILIENCE

Abstract

Abstract : Resilience is a measure of a person's ability to cope with stress, so it can be a solution in overcoming anxiety and depression. A person's ability to be able to survive in the face of trials and to maintain a good and balanced life after adversity or after experiencing severe stress shows the concept of resilience. This study uses a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques using interviews, observation and documentation. Data analysis uses data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. Checking the validity of the data using triangulation between sources, triangulation between methods and triangulation between times. The conclusion of this study is that the first problems faced by students are parental divorce, bullying, low economy, death of relatives. Second, the resilience of students taught by PAI teachers by instilling the nature of faith in God's destiny. Third, the factors that most influence resilience are parents, personality, and those closest to them. Fourth, the role of PAI teachers in shaping the value of resilience in Islamic education is as a guide, spiritual builder and role model.
